Woodland Park Zoo

The 92-acre Woodland Park Zoo is a zoological garden, located in the Green Lake neighborhood of Seattle, and features more than 1,090 individual animals representing nearly 300 species. The zoo's mission "saves animals and their habitats through conservation leadership and engaging experiences, inspiring people to learn, care and act."

The zoo grounds are divided into bioclimatic zones, each zone containing diverse world habitats including the Northern Trail, the Tropical Rain Forest, the African Savanna, the Asian Elephant Forest, the African Wild Dog exhibit, Jaguar Cove, and the Humboldt penguin exhibit. The zoo also offers a historic carousel, the Zoomazium for young kids, and a popular summer concert series on the lawns.
