Where to Start

Fiber To Seattle - Responding to Google RFI

Seattle will actively seek to partner with Google in creation of a fiber network.

Why is this important?

Model vs. the City of Seattle Model
(pdf diagram).

To read letters submitted in support of Google's RFI click here.

There are two parts to Google's RFI

Part One: The city of Seattle will respond to Google's Request for Information (RFI) to build ultra-high speed broadband networks in communities across America. To read Seattle's response to Google's RFI click here.

Part Two:
Nominate your community for the Google fiber investment. Tell Google why your neighborhood, organization or business needs a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network. Here’s how to complete the form in Google’s ‘Request for Information’ that will deliver your message. Responses are due back to Google by March 26.

  1. Click here to Go to Google’s website
  2. Click on the “Get Involved” button.
  3. If you have a Google account, login.
  4. If you don’t have a Google account, click on “Create an Account Now.” Follow the instructions. It’s quick and free.
  5. Go back to the Get Involved page and click on “Nominate your Community.” Submit the form when you are finished.
  6. Thanks!
