Special Committee on the Central Waterfront, Seawall,
and Alaskan Way Viaduct Replacement Program
The City Council is currently consulting transportation experts on how best to address safety concerns with the Alaskan Way Viaduct and the seawall along Seattle's Waterfront.

SR 520 Bridge Replacement Project
The replacement of the State Route 520 bridge continues to be a high priority project for the City of Seattle with ongoing work on the planning, design and funding options.

Community Center Partnership and Planning Analysis

Street Food Vending
In July 2011, the Council passed rules to regulate mobile food vendors, allowing for expanded menu options, better health enforcement and allowing more sidewalk vending.

Building on Seattle's history of environmental leadership, the City Council established carbon neutrality as one of its seventeen Council priorities in 2010.

The Great Student Initiative
A City of Seattle effort to form new partnerships with information, communication and technology companies and financial institutions to provide low-cost, high-speed Internet access, computer, software and services for low-income students in the Seattle Public Schools, and create a steering committee to advance the goals of the Initiative.
