Access to City Hall for Individuals with Disabilities
Seattle City Hall is located in the center of a three-block civic campus in downtown Seattle at 600 Fourth Avenue, between Cherry and James streets.
Accessing the building from Fourth Avenue (map)
- Enter the glass doors at the NW corner of the building (4th Ave & Cherry), near Noah’s Bagels.
- Proceed to the two elevators in the large lobby behind the red wall.
- Take elevator to floor 1 (main lobby at the 5th Avenue level).
- Proceed to the bank of four elevators directly ahead.
- Take elevator to floors L1 - 7.
(A security guard at the far end of that elevator bank can answer any questions.)
Accessing the building from Fifth Avenue (map)
- Enter the glass doors leading
to the main lobby of the building (floor 1).
- Proceed to the bank of four elevators ahead to the right.
- Take elevator to floors L1 - 7.
(A security guard at the front of that elevator bank can answer any questions.)
Accessing the disabled parking
off of James Street (map)
There are several disabled parking spaces for use by those with state-issued disabled parking permits below City Hall, off of James Street.
- Push the button to request admittance into the parking garage.
- Park
- Leave the garage and enter the building through the door furthest from the garage entrance.
- Proceed to a bank of four elevators directly ahead.
- Take elevator to floors L1 - 7.
