Overview
In May of 2009, the Seattle City council passed ordinance 122969, requiring all departments to develop and adopt rules by November 1, 2009 indicating how they will implement specific requirements of the Washington State Public Records Act, RCW Chapter 42.56. On November 3, Mayor Nickels signed an interdepartmental rule: Public Disclosure Policies and Guidelines for Executive Branch.
This rule applies to the Department of Planning and Development (DPD).
DPD is committed to providing information to the public in a manner that conforms with both state and local laws and rules. Below is information meant to help the public access DPD’s information.
