Fire Station 13 Reopens The renovation project of Station 13 has been completed and the fire crews and apparatus have moved back into the station. The remodeled station has additional square footage and includes improvements such as decontamination facilities, increased equipment storage, a fire alarm and sprinkler system and a new kitchen. The public is invited to visit and tour the new station at a public dedication and open house event. Bring the whole family to meet the firefighters. There will also be activities for the children to participate in.

Issue Date: December 12, 2011 On November 18, 2011 the State Building Code Council took an emergency action to revise the Washington State amendments to the 2009 International Fire Code. This action effectively repealed the requirements pertaining to retrofitting floor identification signs and photo luminescent or self-luminous exit path markings in exit enclosures in existing high-rise buildings.
