Project Status

May 2011
Planning and design have been completed with Neighborhood Matching Funds. A $48,000 award from the Department of Neighborhoods will pay for playground equipment.

The Parks and Green Spaces Levy Opportunity Fund allocates $270,000 to this project.
SCHEDULE
Planning: 2011- 2012
Design: May 2012
Construction: Fall 2012

Project Description

Construction of a new play area to replace existing one, new playground for small kids, rain garden, accessible entrance, and planting beds, native plant restoration.

CONDITIONAL: Must provide public access during non-school hours. Entrances/access should be provided to make the site clearly open to the public and gates must be unlocked during non-school hours.

This project was selected for the first round of Parks and Green Spaces Levy Opportunity Funding. The application receivedYou will need adobe acrobat reader to view this document. in this community-initiated process is a preliminary concept and the final design may be constrained by the project budget. All projects will go through Park’s public involvement procedure which includes public meetings and community input. They will also go through an internal Parks process to ensure the most effective implementation.
