PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Ribbon of Parks Association (ROPA) has received a Neighborhood Matching Fund award to hire a landscape architect to gather community input in order to create a planning document that can be used to guide further park development in the Othello Neighborhood Parks. SvR Design Company has been hired as the design consultant.
The goal of the “Ribbon of Parks Project” is to create a cohesive, practical plan for the existing green spaces and parks, find and strengthen their connections and identify the needs for future green spaces. Through these planning efforts specific park and green space projects will be identified. John C. Little Sr., Othello Park, and Van Asselt Park are the major existing parks in the neighborhood. There will be broad neighborhood outreach.
