Project Description

Seattle City Light is updating aging streetlights and electrical infrastructure throughout the utility's service area to enhance safety and electrical reliability. There are no scheduled power outages associated with this work.

Location

Crews are working throughout City Light's service area to replace aging streetlights and electrical cables that are past their service life.

What's Happening Now?

Project Update (January 2025): Seattle City Light contractors will be installing new LED streetlights from north to south following this map. Installations are scheduled to start in February 2025 and continue through May 2025.

  • Temporary noise from bucket truck and equipment use is expected during installation.
  • Temporary lighting disruptions while fixtures are replaced.
  • No planned power outages are needed to complete this work safely.
