Project Description
Seattle City Light crews will be upgrading the existing underground duct bank system on 2nd Avenue (between Wall and Battery streets) and at the intersection of Battery Street and 3rd Avenue.

The work is located in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood.

Project Update (2022): This project has been completed.
Community Benefits
- The infrastructure upgrades will improve electrical reliability for the Belltown area.
Anticipated Impacts
- Customers can expect some noise during construction work hours.
- Traffic control flaggers will be available as needed to direct pedestrians and vehicles through the work areas.
- Construction on 2nd Avenue and Battery Street will occur during weekday hours. Construction on 3rd Avenue and Battery Street is limited to weekend hours. Please refer the schedule for additional information.
- Crews will be staging and storing equipment on-site.
- Some noise is expected during construction.
- Crews will cover open trenches with steel plates outside of construction work hours.
- Start Date: As early as May 10, 2021
