Prospective Retail Partners

We recruit new retail partners to increase options for where customers can shop and to expand access to healthy, culturally relevant produce in priority neighborhoods. Fresh Bucks partnership offers the opportunity to add a potential revenue stream, connect to new customers, and engage more deeply with current customers who are already enrolled in Fresh Bucks. As part of our retail network, partners may also learn about grant opportunities or other resources that become available through City programs.

Program Background and Impact

Fresh Bucks is funded by the City of Seattle's Sweetened Beverage Tax Fund and the General Fund and administered by the Seattle Office of Sustainability & Environment.

Guided by the City of Seattle's Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI), Fresh Bucks aims to eliminate racial disparities in access to healthy foods among historically underserved communities. We do this by partnering with local community-based organizations and health clinics that work with communities most affected by food insecurity and health disparities to enroll eligible participants in the Fresh Bucks program.

Impact Reports

Since 2012, Fresh Bucks has helped thousands of Seattle neighbors afford more fruits and vegetables. The impact reports below detail how the program has contributed to positive outcomes in our community over the years.
