COVID Updates - Services During Pandemic and Re-Opening

The Fire Marshal's Office is providing all services at this time, with some modifications to align with the Governor's Healthy Washington - Roadmap to Recovery plan approved for King County. Our employees are following safe worksite guidelines and ask our customers to do so as well at their jobsites. Please note: our walk-in counter at 220 3rd Ave S has limited hours, and we recommend contacting us by email.

Fire protection systems, like sprinklers and alarms, are among the most important components of any building for saving lives and protecting property. These systems must be regularly tested and maintained by certified technicians to ensure they work when needed. However, too many buildings in Seattle have untested or unrepaired fire protection systems.

Seattle is writing citations of $373+ for failure to test or repair fire protection systems.
