Greenwood Station P-Patch went from a dream to a reality after several years of planning by volunteers, under the aegis of Vision Greenwood Park. The group consisted of volunteers who gathered together to help plan a improvements to Greenwood Park which included several new contiguous plots: the Greenwood Station P-Patch. Along with the P-Patch, 2012 saw the creation of a sports court across form the North Seattle Boys and Girls Club thanks to many local donors as well as various City and county grants.

The P-Patch, located at the end of the original Interurban Trolley Line, has 42 garden plots. Some plots are deliberately dedicated to the Greenwood Food Bank and some to the Greenwood Senior Center, which provides hot lunches to local seniors. We also have a strawberry plot and an herb plot that anyone may use. The P-Patch has pollinator sidewalk strips on the City right-of-way and in the garden along the southern fence. Along the Fremont Ave N side, we have an art fence and entry gate with a transportation theme.
