About The P-Patch
Howell Collective P-Patch
(submitted by a Howell Collective P-Patch community gardener)
The Capitol Hill community has a different style of community garden with the Howell Collective P-Patch: A "collective" that does not have individual plots. The whole garden (not just the common areas) were and are designed, planted, maintained, and harvested together by P-Patchers. Like all P-Patch Community Gardens, the Howell Collective P-Patch works to support the feasibility of urban agriculture and food sovereignty, increase public green space, and bring neighbors together in nature.
