Longfellow Creek Bridge Replacement
Updated: December 6, 2022
Fall 2022
This projects scope is to replace the old wooden bridge that failed in the Fall off 2020 with a new steel truss bridge that will last much longer and be easier to maintain. The original bridge was struck by a fallen tree and caused it to fail structurally and partially fall into the creek. The bridge is currently under internal design review as well as undergoing the SDCI permit approval process and fish and wildlife’s - HPA over water crossing permitting. View plan drawing of the Longfellow Creek Truss Bridge here.
This project has been delayed and because of the more recently added permitting requirements and is expected to be in construction in early 2023.
