Lower Woodland Playfield #1
Updated: October 1, 2024
Fall 2024
This project will replace the aging synthetic turf at Lower Woodland Playfield #1. This includes the removal of the old ‘worn out’ synthetic turf that was installed in 2013 and address any structural repairs to curbing and sub-subsurface. The replacement product system will include new synthetic turf surfacing over a supplemental resilient pad, granular cork, and sand infill.
The entire field will be closed during construction. Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) and the contractor hired for the project will work to minimize impact to the roadways and neighborhood. SPR continues to deliver a safe, durable and playable athletic facility and experience to the users.
