Soundview Terrace Play Area Renovation

Updated: July 6, 2021

Summer 2021

Soundview Terrace Play Area is closed for the renovation and new play equipment installation. Seattle Parks and Recreation closed the play area for safety reasons. There is a lack of engineer wood fiber in this play area, and it does not meet our play area surfacing requirements.

The play area renovation work is tentatively scheduled to start in spring 2022, pending design approval and play equipment manufacturer's lead time. This project is anticipated to be completed in summer 2022.
