Overview

The Cable Discount program was created to help keep basic residential cable television service affordable for all Seattle residents. The program currently provides a $5.17 discount off the price of the Basic Cable TV tier* of service from Comcast or ASTOUND.
* Comcast's Limited Basic Cable or ASTOUND Local Broadcast Tier.

With this program, you can expect to save an average of $62.00 annually.

Eligibility

Residents must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Are a low-income Seattle resident (see the table above for income guidelines)
  • Are a current COMCAST or ASTOUND cable TV customer:
    • Must be a current Basic Cable TV customer so the service provider can apply the discount to your account.
    • Are not already on any promotional price
    • Cable TV service is not part of your current service bundle

Note: The Gross Income criteria is based on 70% of the state's median income.
