NE 130th St Light Rail Station Access and Safety Improvements
Updated June 18, 2024
In preparation for Sounds Transit’s NE 130th St Infill Station opening in 2026, we are making safety and mobility improvements along N 130th St, Roosevelt Way NE, and NE 125th St between Bitter Lake and Lake City. These improvements will create a safer, more accessible environment for people walking, biking, rolling, and taking the bus to get to the future light rail station, around their neighborhood, and to community destinations. They also support new bus service from King County Metro.
NE 130th St Light Rail Station Access and Safety Projects
We have several projects planned to connect people to the NE 130th St light rail station and to get around the neighborhood. These projects are a result of multiple community engagement efforts to learn about community priorities for accessing light rail, including the NE 130th St & Shoreline South/NE 148th Stations: Multimodal Access Study and the 130th and 145th Station Area Planning study.
