What is the Youth Transportation Summit?

Want to help shape the future of your community? Join the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) for our second Youth Transportation Summit!

This event is for young leaders, advocates, and activists who want to learn about key SDOT projects and how transit agencies work with the community to make them happen. You’ll also get a chance to share your ideas and input on SDOT projects focused on building community, creating green spaces, and achieving climate justice goals.

The event is April 26, 2025, from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The day is split into two parts:

  • In the morning, you’ll take part in a fun, interactive activity to design a public space built just for YOU.
  • In the afternoon, you’ll learn how SDOT turns ideas into real projects. You’ll attend three breakout sessions and help with a final activity that directly impacts current SDOT projects.

Don’t miss this chance to share your voice and help improve the future of transportation in Seattle!
