Community Connections
Community members visit the Cedar River Watershed, Seattle's drinking water source
Community Connections program creates deep and sustainable partnerships that aim to improve the quality of life for people of color, immigrant, and low-income communities through transformative approaches and experiences.
What we do
Community Connections funds multi-year partnerships with trusted organizations and leaders that serve a variety of ethnic and language groups.
Partners receive paid training on the utility and hazardous waste. They adapt and deliver in-language presentations and activities to communities. Partners also gather community input for SPU to improve our services and approach.
